OAV Summaries

The four OAVs are actually a total of 8 episodes of Kimagure Orange Road. I summarize the episodes by title;

1) I Was A Cat; I Was A Fish: Kyosuke's grandfather visits while he's studying for exams, and among the marelus toys he's brought with him is a rope that has some of the Power. It can make the persons at each end of the rope exchange souls. Kurumi doeesn't believe it, so Grandpa exchanges places with her. Then Kurumi exchanges places with Kyosuke.

Later, as Kyosuke is going out to join Madoka and Hikaru at the local festival he is accidentally exchanged with a goldfish that Jingaro has been trying to eat, and is flung out the window and into a passing goldfish peddler's cart. Kyosuke wakes to find himself a fish in a catching tank, with two familiar girls trying to catch him! Eventually Madoka catches him, but Kyosuke is content with that.

Meanwhile, Manami and Kurumi are frantically scooping up every goldfish they can find to rescue their brother. Madoka gives the Kyosuke-goldfish to Hikaru, and she takes him home, agreeing to meet Madoka later. It's not like going home with Madoka, but Kyosuke can live with being Hikaru's fish too.

Manami and Kurumi decide to use Jingaro to find Kyosuke, and teleport into Hikaru's home. Unfortunately, Kurumi has used the magic rope as a leash and when Jingaro goes after the fish they swap places, and the fish is now Jingaro while Jingaro is Kyosuke. The twins don't notice the switch however, and teleport out quickly, leaving Kyosuke-Jingaro to take the blame.

Kyosuke-Jingaro is chased out of the house and runs into Madoka, who spills a bottle of wine on him, turning him red and making him drunk. Madoka rescues the cat, and he winds up at her house, where Hikaru shows up. They fight over the cat, because they both think it reminds them of Kyosuke, but Hikaru finds out that a cat destroyed her room earlier and so can't bring it home.

After Hikaru leaves, Madoka starts up the pilot light for a bath, but then falls asleep in her underwear. Kyosuke-Jingaro wakes up and, noticing the pilot light has gone out and the room is full of gas, eventually wakes Madoka up and rescues her. madoka decides to give Kyosuke-Jingaro a kiss, but Kyosuke's family has been performing a ceremony to recover his soul, and he's returned to his body just as their lips meet. He winds up kissing Kurumi instead, who clobbers him.

2) Hurricane! Akane the Shape Changing Girl! Akane only appears in two of the OAVs, this being the first one.
